While serving Wilmington community, we observed that they are in need of socks to keep their feet warm in winter and healthy all year. One of our volunteers suggested that we write to Joy of Sox, who’s mission is to provide joy to the homeless with new socks. We wrote to them. Within few days, they replied and invited us to collect socks from them. Since then, Joy of Sox donated over 7,000 pairs of socks. We at Charity Crossing distribute these socks to people in the State of Delaware and Maryland
It is Tom Costello Jr, president of Joy of Sox, who encouraged Jay Muthukamatchi, president of Charity Crossing, to work with Delaware legislators to recognize February 14, 2018 as a socks for homeless day in the State of Delaware.
