Dear Charity Crossing Team,
You had many choices to spend your time and hard-earned money but you choose to help those in need. Charity Crossing board salutes you.
This year we helped 10s of 1000s of people in America and India. You are the reason for their joy. Kudos to every one of you. We are dedicating this video to Charity Crossing Heros.
This year has been our busiest year since our inception. When many organizations closed their door during the early days of Covid-19, we kept our doors open. We helped 10s of 1000s of people in America and India. We distributed over 11,000 meals through Covid-19 No One Hungry initiative. Although it is a record for us, we wished we were not in this unfortunate situation.
We recruited Youth Leaders to lead all Charity Crossing initiatives. Board members are mentoring and coaching our future leaders. We significantly increased donations and distributions. Based on a conservative estimate the value of our give back to the community this year is well over $300,000.
We successfully completed No One Hungry, Socks, Hand-Sanitizer, Holiday Dress giveaway, and Cyclone Amphan Drives. For the first time, we established a relationship with FEMA, Food Bank of Delaware, Amazon, and Macy’s. We renewed our relationship with Walmart. Supported 2,400+ people during holidays.
This year we adopted 73 families for this holiday. Each adopted family received $50 worth of gifts. Thanks to Ron and his friend Ray, two of the families received about $400 each. Our operating costs have been under $5,000.
We are keeping our operating costs low by availing support from private and corporate donations. I wanted to make a short video. So many people went above and beyond to help the community during this pandemic year.
Those are wonderful memories for the volunteers. Hence, it is a little bit longer (about 13 minutes). I hope you enjoy it.
Looking forward to 2021. Let’s pray that 2021 will be better for everyone.
Wishing you all a happy and healthy New Year.
Charity Crossing Board.
