Great leaders see the way, walk the way, and show the way. A great team delivers great things.
Snow was forecasted early Saturday morning. We had two choices: cancel the event or host the giveaway to demonstrate our commitment and resolve to help fellow community members. These determined volunteers choose to serve the community. If you zoom in on the group photo, you will see volunteers from teens to senior citizens. For every one of us, this is a memorable moment. It gave the teens the confidence to deal with challenges that Nature may throw at them. They are prepared to deal with that if such situations arise in the future.
For the first time, we served our community on a snow day. Many may not have gotten out of bed this morning but these determined volunteers showed up at sharply 7:30 am. Cleaned the snow. Unloaded the donations. Got the donations set up. Helped 100s of families with over $10,000 worth of donations.
Also, a shout out to our Warehouse Unloading team, which received 480 boxes of donations from Amazon on this snow day.
Rain, shine, or snow, we make things happen. We are one determined bunch.
Thanks to volunteers and leaders for their commitment to helping fellow community members.
