Charity Crossing has been providing basic needs to over 10,000 people every year and is continuing to grow.  We need infrastructure upgrades to expand our service as well as to improve operating efficiency.

Our volunteers use their personal vehicles for our ongoing initiatives.  Many times we had to take 3 or 4 vehicles (and 4 to 7 volunteers) to transport donations.  After picking up the donations, the volunteers had to unload all the donations at their home/garage.  On the distribution day, they have to load them again on their vehicle and transport them to the distribution location.  If there is any left over after the distribution event, the volunteers have to repeat this process.  Additionally, the volunteers are not willing to drive their personal vehicles that are 30 miles are more.  A light-duty truck (u-haul type) would help improve operational efficiency and expand our reach to various communities that need our help.

Charity Crossing has been operating from one of the Board of Directors’ home.  As the demand for our service and donation continues to increase, it is becoming harder to host volunteers at home for sorting and packing donations.   Further, CC couldn’t host the public at a private residence.   A warehouse would provide a safe place for volunteers to help with sorting and packing donations, store and organize donations for easy distribution, and allow public access.
