- About Us
Fourth-year in a row, Charity Crossing is organizing a 5K Walk for Autism. Please join us at Pavilion 5 in Glasgow Park to show your support. Spring is the perfect time to walk with your friends and family.“With every step we take and every dollar we raise, we help enhance lives today and accelerate a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow.” ~Autism Speaks
All funds raised from this year’s walk will benefit Brennen School. Brennen School is a public school program for students with autism within the Christina School District. The program provides educational services to students with autism between 2 and 21 years of age. They emphasize direct teaching in community and natural environments, guided by the techniques of applied behavior analysis. One area of need for them is celebrating their graduates. They have 15 graduates this year (2021). They are planning an outdoor ceremony this year, but are looking for new ways to celebrate their graduates as they are unable to keep some of their regular traditions. This year, they would like to give each of our graduates a yard sign, pictures, a yearbook, and a cake and goodies to have a personal family celebration, as they can’t have their reception.
To show your support, please wear a blue shirt for the walk. If you like, you can buy blue T-Shirts by donating $15 or more at the time of registering for the walk.
All new volunteers (or their parents/guardians) must complete this Volunteer Liability Release Form prior to RSVP-ing for the event. This release form is valid for all future Charity Crossing initiatives that you and your family members participate in. You are required to submit a new Volunteer Liability Release Form when an update is required.
*Mask is required to participate in this walk*
